The wisteria has been amazing this year. The honeybees have been busy collecting pollen, and I've been enjoying the smell. Hello, spring!

We say hello to the morning with a warm cup of coffee, a blushing sky and the fragrance of the wisteria blossoms. It will be a good day.

And just like that, spring is here! The plants put out their leaves, flowers open up and the bees have a heyday. I love the way the new green of the leaves looks against the endless blue of the texas sky.

I love the way these delicate flowers look. And so do the butterflies! This butterfly weed is actually a volunteer as I had planted its mom in the other bed.

Another gorgeous sunrise. I love the flowers the japanese maiden grass put up in the fall. They are so soft and feathery. And they look fantastic against the beautifully painted sky.

We went to our local botanic garden plant sale today and got some lovely specimens. The butterflies adore this plant. I can't wait to get it in the ground!

My backyard - from an ant's perspective. These weeds/wildflowers in my backyard are so compellingly delicate and sturdy. And they are everywhere. Who wants/needs grass when you can have such gorgeous wildflowers?

Today was absolutely gorgeous. Hardly a cloud in the sky. There was a warm breeze. Birds were courting in the front garden. Today was a good day.
