This sunset was gorgeous! We've been having lots of cloudy days, but oh, the sunsets are spectacular. I loved the way this reflected on Jason's car.

333/366 - Happy Thanksgiving!
What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than with a harvest? I picked these beauties off my still producing tomato plants. YUM! I can't wait to eat them!

Toddler baby cable rib socks. An easy way to use up the yarn that's leftover from my socks. If I make each pair of Little Bit's socks just a tiny bit bigger than the last pair, she'll always have a pair that fit, right? :)

The second installment of the Shalimar Sock Club. While the colors are still quite bright, I think this one has more possibility. And the pattern for this yarn sounds really interesting. I think I may actually follow it! (*gasp!)

These books have been making the rounds at church, and I just couldn't resist. Let's see what all the hype is about.

Mmmm, cowly goodness. The perfect antidote to cold weather. I can see more of these in my future - fast and useful - just like mitts!

And a shot of these in progress. I've really increased my speed as it isn't taking me hardly any time at all to knit these up.
Even after doing 2 of these, I think I need to add a pair to my wardrobe. :)
Project info on Ravelry.

My mom made these cute little socks for Little Bit. We even got a comment on them by another knitter in the airport!

So, I originally had made this sock for my sister, but in a subsequent conversation, she had poo-poo'd the idea of wearing knit socks. So, I decided to keep the socks for myself.
Fortunately, I ended up bringing it along with me, and when she put the sock on (and it fit like a glove), she was in love. Now I have to go finish the other one!

I finished Yosemite! And it was well received. Of course, I forgot to get modeled shots. I made a tiny mistake on the collar, but I think that in the scheme of things, it ended up working out well. I am glad to be able to give it to such an appreciative recipient!

We made it safely to MD and are now enjoying the lovely colors. I didn't realize exactly how much I really missed the fall brilliance until I saw it everywhere.
I love fall. :)

This picture has nothing to do with the exciting things that happened yesterday. I was in complete (excited) shock when Obama won, and so decidedly. What a historic moment!

Ok, so I know this is bad technique really, but I like the way the knit stitches look. Because they are worked back and forth instead of in the round, you get this nice crookedly even pattern :)
Finished with the collar - now on to the sleeves! I can't wait to give this to my mom!

What is wrong with this picture?
Yes, indeed, that is a 3 needle bind off... on the wrong side! That's what I get for working on this after my bedtime!
